It represents 5-8% of the tray weight
In the case of using an adhesive, it is used between 0.2 and 20 grams per square meter of sheet, depending on its thickness and the nature of the adhesive used. In the case of EVOH barrier, it is used between 7 and 14 grams per square meter of sheet, depending on its thickness.
PET layer (92% - 98%)
90 to 100-micron thickness. It represents 92-98% of the tray weight.

Activities to guarantee the transparency and traceability of incorporating recycled PET into the food tray value chain. The foundation grants ECOSENSE certification to sheet and tray manufacturers and packers whose plastic waste is recycled and reintroduced into the manufacturing process of new trays. The certification is renewed biennially and in the intermediate year between each renewal an annual verification is conducted.SEE ACTIVITY
Added-value services for certified companies or bodies that request them as regards environmental consultancy on PET food trays. The possibility is envisaged of signing agreements with collaborating expert bodies.
